Biography
I was born in 1950 in a small mining village in the West Riding of Yorkshire (happy days!)I am married with three Children, and now three grandaughters. My working life covered many aspects- civil servant, pub landlord, lorry driver and many others. It was in 1999 that I accquired the letters after my name -F.O.L.- but it is not 'Fellow of'..but Fell off..a ladder! That's when I started to paint during the long days spent waiting for operations etc. It sounds corny but it seemed as if I had been waiting all my life to do this and eventually with help and encouragement from many people but especially my wife, I took the gamble and became a full time artist in March 2003.I have been closely associated with several galleries but from May 2007 I was pleased to open my own studio/gallery where I conduct watercolour classes twice a week. All visitors are welcome to come and see me working.
