Gillian Ann Higton
Only 1 weeks to go until my first exhibition. Excited but terrified!
I have lived in Lincolnshire for the past 5 years and became interested in experimental art, after attending a workshop in Cleethorpes and studying shapes found in both local landscapes and seascapes.
I am mainly self taught, but have been studying with the OCA to gain a BA.
I have the good fortune to live in a beautiful Old Rectory and plan to run workshops from April 2012 and open my studio up to other artists who would like to stay for a few days and work with me, or alone. I will also be running some one and two day workshops in the near future.
It is an exciting time for me at the moment as I am working towards my first solo exhibition at Lincoln Artworks, West Parade, Lincoln. It will be held from the 4th August for one week only. I will post new paintings, as they are completed.
I attended a one day Life Drawing workshop, run by Ann Stoker on 10th June. I will be entering the finished work into the August Exhibition. Thanks for a great day, Ann.
Thanks to Vicki Shaw for the photograph of me outside the Hepworth Gallery, Wakefield
