Tuition
Students of all ages and abilities attend the classes which are small, informal and friendly. Your day will start with a general introduction to the topic of the day, followed by a group discussion or demonstration. Once you have 'got going' individual tuition will be provided. On full day workshops, students can eat out at the local pub. Workshops are currently held every fortnight. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and monthly on Saturdays.
You will be working inside and outside with subject areas related to still life, flower painting, landscape, and all aspects of drawing, colour and composition. When the weather is fine we work outside in the delightful surroundings of the studio, the nearby countryside, or in the gardens of Hatfield House.
Topic areas include painting techniques in a wide range of media including watercolour, acrylics, oils and mixed media. Much of what is taught is closely related to work in which Christine is currently involved - continually providing a fresh approach to the classes.

Biography
Christine was born and raised in North London. She studied at Hornsey College of Art and practised as a graphic designer before qualifying as a full time lecturer in both further and higher education. As a designer, many of her ideas were conveyed with the use of marker pens. The spontaneity needed for visualising in this medium made the transition to watercolour a natural development. She also works in acrylics, oils and mixed media.
She exhibits successfully and has produced limited editions and cards of her work. The subject of her paintings varies according to the many topics covered on her art courses.
She has worked and run courses from her studio in Hertfordshire for many years, written articles for The Leisure Painter, and run workshops in conjunction with The Artists and Illustrators magazine and Winsor and Newton.
Exhibitions
There will be a display of Christine's work at the Christmas Frost Fair at Hatfield House from
November 25-27th where you will have the opportunity to see her work and discuss the courses and workshops she runs at Flint Stable Studio which is part of the Hatfield House Estate.
