Over the years, I've initiated hundreds of people into the exciting world of encaustic art.
I've run many workshops for groups such as WIs and made literally hundreds of demonstrations to all sorts of groups mainly around East Anglia.
For several years (until it's closure in 2004?), I ran Encaustic weekends at Wansfell College in Epping.

Biography
Born in 1950, I grew up on the farm where I still live and work.
Encaustic art found me in 1989 (before that I had no interest in art) and has gradually taken me over until it is now my only occupation.
My main job now is the supply of encaustic art tools and materials by post and at shows. As so few shops stock these items (because of the small demand), I'm kept quite busy!
I usually give 20-30 talks/demonstrations per year to art groups, WIs etc. These always go down well and everyone can have a little go too, at the end.
I still love painting with wax and it is still the only medium that I have tried - it's very free and always exhilarating even after all these years; it seems to have magical qualities.
From my complete non-artist start, I've now had over 30 solo exhibitions and also try to support as many local open exhibitons as I can.
I'm a member of Colchester Art Society and the Guild of Essex Craftsmen.
