I think that my fascination with creative paint effects may have its roots in early childhood memories of watching pictures being created, change and fade in the embers of a coal fire.
I try to use experiences of places and situations to communicate the very spirit of the subject which first fired my enthusiasm. I try to create works which are individual, full of emotion and interest for the viewer and where there are journeys for the eye within the painting.
