Biography
I live in rural Aberdeenshire, Scotland, where there is inspiration all around me.
I cannot remember a time when I didn't paint. Art liberates me from whatever worries I may have and keeps me moving forward.
My current work is inspired by patterns which occur in nature, both on a large and a small scale - for example, the branches in trees and the veins and cells in our bodies.
I am also very excited by colour and texture, which both feature a great deal in my work.
I mainly work in acrylic, watercolour or pen and ink, although I also work a lot with polymer clay, creating jewellery, small sculptures and “paintings”
