Biography
I create contemporary art work which is suitable for modern living spaces and commercial businesses. I work in acrylics and industrial enamels to create work on many different scales to suit different design concepts and colour schemes.

Concepts and ideas:

I work from my memory and imagination. I find that the impulses to create the works are personal responses to a variety of stimuli such as nature, the memories of places, music or poetry. My creative ideas are heavily influenced by my background in theatre. I treat the canvas as a stage and use colour, movement and textures to capture live ‘improvisation' by using the paint as a vehicle for ‘freezing time'.

Education:

I trained at Huddersfield University completing a BA in Theatre Studies, a PGCE and an MA in Multimedia and Education.
