Biography
Colin Beckett is a self taught artist who has the passion and ability to convey his love of painting to others and his relaxed teaching techniques are an inspiration to many. A lifelong artist, he has painted Professionally in all mediums since 1987, and has appeared on Central, Carlton and Anglia Television and recently appeared on Hondurous TV whilst in South America.

Born 1936 in Whitchurch, Shropshire and a relative of the late composer
Sir Edward German.

He has lived in London, Norfolk and now lives in Warwickshire.
Commissions have been received from banks, breweries, councils, insurance companies and numerous private clients.
Clients include Royalty, Cabinet Ministers, Diplomats, Film & Television Stars and his paintings are in private collections worldwide.
Exhibitions
He has exhibited in London, Norwich, Solihull,Banbury, Spain &
France along with many other venues as well as cruise liners.No dates fixed for new exhibitions
Teachings
Since the mid 90’s, he has been engaged regularly by Saga Holidays to host their painting holidays in the UK and across Europe.

He has also taught English children on activity holidays at Lake Garda in Italy

Colin’s teaching ventures over the last three to four years have taken him on cruise ships around the world with Saga Shipping,My Travel,Fred Olsen Lines and Voyages of Discovery.


Painting workshops held at Colin’s studio in the Cotswolds in South Warwickshire are becoming evermore popular and he is in constant demand to give demonstrations and talks to various groups and societies.

Colin's adventures also puts him in demand as an interesting after dinner speaker.
