Tuition

I am a fully qualified teacher with over 15 years experience of teaching in Primary schools across KS1 and KS2 and my workshops aim to combine this invaluable knowledge with my passion for all things creative. I am able to provide workshops for schools and community groups. Workshops can be tailored to individual school curriculum needs and special events.

AIMS

I aim to produce good quality work that will not only develop the artistic skills of all participants, but also increase their confidence. I want to develop children’s collaborative working techniques and problem solving approaches. At the end of my workshops I want to leave schools with a lasting reminder that can create a memorable display or exhibition – and a group of children who are extremely proud of their achievements!

WORKSHOPS

I can provide a variety of workshops, including recycled art, collages, mask making and large painted panels for in or outdoor display. I am always willing to develop new ideas to suit your requirements. Outcomes may be individual artworks or a large communal piece.

Workshops may be single days or longer depending on the activities requested. I am happy to work with small groups or whole classes depending on the nature of the activity.

Biography

CLARE TEBBOTH - www.claretebboth.com

Clare Tebboth is an artist working in predominantly oils, her loose style making use of both brushes and palette knives. She enjoys the richness of oil paint and the luxurious finish it gives to paintings.

Having grown up in Norfolk and enjoying frequent childhood trips to wind swept beaches, her work is often based around the sea and the special mood that a wintry beach creates. Having two young sons has provided a wealth of memories that have inspired a growing body of work.

Clare welcomes commissions and enjoys working closely with a client to create a unique piece of art work often as a special gift for someone.

Clare continues to work part-time as a primary school teacher and makes use of her 16 year experience in the classroom when providing art workshops in schools, creating sculptures and paintings with the children.

When I start a painting it is a feeling of that moment that I am trying to capture on canvas, the weather, light conditions and mood. I enjoy the challenge of recreating a special moment, one that is perhaps in someway reminiscent of all our childhoods.

Collectors of my paintings often do so because they evoke treasured memories from their own past. I feel that a painting is complete when it speaks directly to the viewer, creating an emotional link. You can see further examples of my work at www.claretebboth.com

If you see a painting you like, but it is already sold, I am very happy to create a similar one to suit your own individual tastes.

I also have a range of cards available featuring all my own art work. Please use the contact page if you would like to be sent a catalogue.

My work has been exhibited both locally and abroad and I was a featured artist in the Buckingham Art Works for Business Trail 2009. I won best in show at the BAFA Reflections exhibition Nov 2009 and won the Experienced Prize in 2010. I am secretary of Buckingham Art for All BAFA and a member of the SAA. I am a member of the Buckingham Art Trail, a rotating exhibition in association with local traders and BAFA.
