Biography
Christine Russell is based at her studio in Gloucestershire. She is self-taught and became a full-time, professional artist in 1993 when the demand for her work became over-whelming. She is represented in a number of prestigious U.K. galleries. She has served as a Council member of the Society of Women Artists and on the selection panel for the annual exhibitions at the Mall Galleries. Her work has featured in a number of books and magazines. In addition to her own painting, Christine is devoted to demonstrating and teaching, both in the U.K. and abroad, where she runs painting holidays. With her infectious enthusiasm, she gently encourages and inspires her students.
