Tuition

As an Alexander Certified Instructor, I host popular workshops in Suffolk and Essex. I teach the wet on wet technique to beginners, showing how to produce a large oil painting for themselves in just one class. Many of my students have never picked up a paintbrush in their lives. I love the challenge and the joy when seeing my students proudly admire their acheivement.

I keep the classes small to enable me to give as much one-to-one attention as possible. That ensures 100% satisfaction for both me and my students (which range from 12 to 84 years of age!)

I like to have a minumum of 6 students, up to a full capacity of 15 students. The classes run approx 5 hours, depending on subject. The cost is £45 per person. This price includes EVERYTHING. I supply all equipment, materials and even provide refreshments. For more details on these classes and the painting subjects please view www.ayoubart.co.uk - Art Classes page: you will see testimonials from students, photos of a class, pictures of end results.

Living in Sharjah, Dubai, Bahrain and Beirut was an amazing experience. They are all gorgeous locations and I made silent promises to myself all those years ago to capture some of the wonderful sunsets I had witnessed.

I have since visited other inspiring places, mainly holiday destinations. I have made a point of photographing wonderful scenery hoping to re-produce them in my own way at a later stage.

From waterfalls and sunsets in India, isolated bays in Turkey, valleys in Andalusia, Spain, mountains and lochs in Scotland and woodland views here on my own back doorstep in rural Suffolk.

I have dabbled with watercolours and acrylics as they are quite safe mediums and very forgiving. I found the results of these paintings average with no real depth and no real ‘life'. Whilst fairly pleased with the outcome, I felt the spirit of the subject was missing.

Then, by sheer coincidence, I saw an advertisement locally: A Bob Ross qualified instructor was giving an oil art class here in the village. I enrolled for the class and have never looked b
