Biography
Billy Showell
I have been painting professionally for 20 years and exhibit and teach worldwide. i began my career as a Fashion illustrator and designer but then took up oil painting as a hobby which then became a job and replaced the fashion full time. I moved to watercolours and quickly became involved with the Society of Botanical Artists.
I have been teaching since then and have travelled all over the world which has been wonderful, however I am happiest in my garden studio. I have written and illustrated 3 books on my art and produced with the SAA 3 teaching DVDs. I have another book in the pipeline and have been developing some fashion inspired botanical paintings, lots to do.
