Tuition
I am experienced in nearly all fine art mediums, plus pottery and woodcarving, being happy to teach and demonstrate watercolour, pastels, oils, acrylics and mixed medium in almost any subject. I am a fully qualified and experienced teacher having taught in both the private and state sectors, groups of all ages both here and in many other countries. I feel it important to have a freindly, informal, relaxed atmosphere where a great deal of information may be imparted with humour and clarity - plus giving everyone confidence in order to attain.

Biography
Due to my father being in the R.A.F. I travelled widely and this "bug" has never left me as I love to visit, paint and make art films, both here, and in many countries abroad. I was a full time Head of Art & design teaching in both the state and private sectors for 22 years and have continued my teaching, writing, art & crafts ever since within early retirement for the past 20 plus! My interests are diverse as I, also, play Irish music, am an advanced clay shooting instructor and several other skills but my life is centred around my art, filming and photography. I have written articles for many well known publications such as Leisure painter, International artist, and more - even the S.A.A. magazine years ago, as a founder member! I have enjoyed art residencies in stately homes in the U.K. plus The Deep in Hull and Plymouth sea life centre and abroad in Palmerston Gallery New Zealand and Savannah University. My last 8 years have been spent in the south of France where I had my own gallery. I had a wonderful adventure but lost touch slightly with all here! Now I have returned and, again, offer workshops, teaching, demonstrations and paint commissions. I have developed an acre of gardens especially for artists to come and enjoy and paint in, free of charge, plus use the gallery and studios. See my website peterwoodarts.com
Exhibitions
I have my own gallery at home in Theddlethorpe with my studios. I am a member of Art on the Map - open studios Lincolnshire. I have had work accepted by the Royal Academy and exhibited not only in many galleries in this country but America, New Zealand, and other countries abroad when filming and painting or doing art residencies or teaching. Details of present or forthcoming exhibition may be seen on my "events" page on my website.
