I have been in love with painting since my early teens, but then life happened and having a secured income was more inportant the painting.After rasing a family and having more time at my disposal I decided to go to college and obtain a degree in Fine Art to boost my confidence.
Although I always painted for family and friends I turned professional six years ago,I had a very succesful solo exhibition in 2010 and for the last five years I took part in many other regional Art exhibitions and Arts Festivals. I love to paint in all mediums but my very favourite are oils and encaustic(molten wax and pigment)infact for the last two years except for commission work,I concetrated solely to paint in encaustic.
Encaustic painting it's a fascinating, adictive and exciting medium to work with,it is a challenging and explorative medium with dramatic and blazing results and it has no limits in is use.Although I was born in Rome I lived in England most of my life ain my earlier years I was very much influenced by the old masters like Da Vinci, Raffaello,Giorgione,Titian and many others less known artists from the Renaissance period.As I matured I seem to be inspired more and more by visions and inner feelings,therefore my work is mainly abstract, but I also enjoy to paint representational images and scenary as well as create compositions from stories and memories.I'm now working on a new series of mixed media paintings which are semi-abstract and some representational work for the winter collection and future Arts Festivals.For further details please contact me by phone on 01335 390578 0r by e.mail danavenetiarose@gmail.com
