Since originally training as an artist and teacher in the 1970's, I have bought up a family, and gained a Master of Fine Art degree, whilst teaching in Community education and continuing to exhibit and sell my work.
Much of my work over the last few years has been concerned with how I remember the sights, sounds and smells experienced on many favourite walks by the sea. Colours and textures are stored in the mind as almost abstract sensations. I often paint and draw in series of images which may be linked to form one piece of work.
Recent work explores colour and form of the garden.
The paintings are quite abstract, but firmly rooted in my experiences of the living world. They vary in scale from large wall hangings, to acrylics on canvas and smaller watercolour seascapes.

Selected Exhibitions. I exhibit widely in the North West,in mixed exhibitions and as a member of Cheshire Artists Network and Artists @ Work. I have had solo shows at Dukes Oak Gallery, The Blyth Gallery, Staffordshire University,Lichfield garrick Theatre and Art Matters in Tenby. My studio is open to the public as part of Cheshire Open Studios.
Work is held in public and private collections in the UK and Norway. Selected works are reproduced for interior design consultancies.
I teach Community Adult Education classes in Drawing, Painting, Mixed Media and Life drawing. I also teach privately, offering themed drawing and mixed media workshops and individual 'creativity boosting'. Fees vary, depending on individual requirements. Contact me to discuss.
