I am basically self-taught although, over the years, I have attended many workshops and demonstrations and, I might add, have always found something new or something of interest. One never ceases to learn.
I have been painting for most of my life and work in nearly all media - I started with oil paints at the age of 11 and have worked my way through - ending with watercolour - I left the most difficult to last. It is also the most challenging (and rewarding) medium.
My love of vibrant colour is reflected in all my pictures.
I am a Professional Associate of the Society for All Artists and as a RSC I also run a weekly art group in Deeping St. James, Lincolnshire.
though I do not run classes regularly I would be happy to give individual tuition or give demonstrations or workshops to art groups.
I will happily take on any commission. - one of my specialities is animal portraits. I can also paint a picture of your house or business premises or undertake portraiture. If you are interested please contact me for further details.
I am a member of the East Cornwall Society of Artists, The Welland Valley Art Society and the Maxey Art Group.
My work is regularly hung in The Stamford Artists Gallery.
In September 2009 I will be having a Solo Exhibition in The Stamford Arts Centre, Lincolnshire.
I have regularly exhibited in the Gallery owned by the East Cornwall Society of Artists in Polperro, Cornwall and have had several Solo exhibitions. I also exhibit regularly with the Welland Valley Art Society and the Maxey Art Group.
My works are always on display and for sale in The Stamford Artists Gallery, Maiden Lane, Stamford, Lincolnshire.
For the month of September 2009 I shall have a solo exhibition in the Annexe at The Arts Centre, Stamford. Full details later on.

I enjoy teaching - especially beginners as I love to share my joy of painting with others.
I have run classes in Lincolnshire, Cornwall and Spain and have recently been giving card-making demonstrations to art groups.
I am available to give demonstrations or run workshops to Art Groups or Societies within a 50 mile radius of Peterborough or possibly other areas by arrangement.
