I paint in watercolour, acrylic, oil and mixed media and with anything that makes a mark!
So much I could say here, but enough to say that I hope perhaps my bright, colourful and often vibrant paintings just simply entertain.
My method of painting varies according to the subject, I usually go with my first thoughts rather than deliberate too much but am prepared to alter course as I work.
I often produce a whole series on one subject, related but attacked in different ways and colour and design are important to me.
I am addicted to my sketchbooks (never without one) and love to record days/happenings/views which gets my attention.
Art Journaling is another passion, a place to mix words with painting and drawing, recording daily happenings, thoughts, ideas, quotes or just simply 'playing' in a very immediate, spontaneous and personal way with whatever material I have to hand - not seeking approval from anyone!
I have also illustrated three childrens books written by a colleague but as yet unpublished, but here's hoping.
My training was in Art and Design then specialising in fashion and textile design.
