Sue Ford
Sue was born in York and now lives in Stokesley, North Yorkshire.
Sue's love for art started at a young age and in 1976, Sue was delighted to win a trip to Rome with Nancy Kominsky in the ‘Paint along with Nancy’ TV Programme, with a water colour painting of her grandfather.
Sue has exhibited her work within the Royal Society of Marine Artists (RSMA) Mall Galleries, London and The Women's Society of Artists (SWA).
Work is shown through local and national exhibitions

My teaching is directed towards helping students compose a picture. Planning colour, media and style to be used. Encouraging students to develop their own styles. Please look at my events page, there are lost of interesting courses and holidays available.
On the Staithes holidays www.staithesgallery.co.uk - we work outside and have the use of a studio. Balmoral again working from different locations each day and in the studio. Other residential holidays are mainly studio based - Cober Hill and Delmont Hotels are both in Scarborough
I've published several articles for Lesiure Painter in 2007 covering pastel, acrylic with oil pastel. perspective and aerial perspective
I teach weekly classes - Monday at Natures World, Acklam (Watercolours) 10-2.30pm. Thuesdays at Thirsk Town Hall(Pastel and mixed media) 9.30-11.30am
Wednesdays at Stokesley Town Hall, 10-12 noon, (Watercolours) Thursdays at Langdon Square, Coulby Newham, 10-12noon. (Watercolours)
Further Education classes at Nunthorpe School, Monday evening, Tuesday afternoon and evening, all in watercolour.
