Helen Davison
I am mainly self-taught, having discovered my natural talent late on in life. My work is usually rendered in acrylic paint, although I am also adept at pastel, charcoal and ink drawings. I am inspired by a myriad of things - from the mundane to the magnificent! My work tends to reflect my love of bright colours, shapes, textures and patterns.
I am happy to consider commissions for portraits of people or pets in most medium and can also arrange to have any artwork framed at a reasonable cost.
My favourite artists include Stanley Spencer, Lucian Freud and Magritte.
I am a regular exhibitor at the Original Art Exhibition, which is held on the last Sunday of the month at Addingham Memorial Hall, Main Street, Addingham. This is situated opposite the famous Fleece Pub.
I was awarded an honourable mention in the online Art Interview 1st Online Artist competition with my painting "Spirit of the Sahara"
